Agency Workers Regulations

The Agency Workers Regulations will come into force on 1 October 2011, giving agency workers the entitlement to the same basic employment and working conditions as if they had been recruited directly, if and when they complete a qualifying period of 12 weeks in the same job.

It will not be applied retrospectively so, for agency workers already on assignment, the 12-week qualifying period will start from 1 October 2011. On the same date, agency workers will be entitled to access to facilities and information on job vacancies from Day 1 of their assignment.

Over the next few weeks, the CK Group will be contacting all our clients to obtain information on their terms and conditions so that we can ensure that all our agency workers receive the correct equal treatment under the new legislation. We will be in touch with you again once we have sufficient information to discuss how your individual situation will be affected.
